Communication Methods

There are at least four types of methods in the curriculum for the Clarity Community:

  • Basic Co-Mentoring for Clarity Buddies.
  • Supplementary Methods for Clarity Buddies.
  • Methods for individuals that are best taught and supported in ongoing groups or classes—which can be local, by teleconference, or by video conference.
  • Methods that are best taught and practiced in groups.

The initial three Core Methods are essential for giving your cluster the power to provide all of you with consistent, dependable tools that will support you in just about anything you’re working on. You can always trade off the Core Methods, because no matter what you’re trying to do in life, they will help.

Supplementary Methods can also be just as broadly valuable, but you might find them harder to learn or too unusual for your immediate needs. Alternatively, they might have more specialized applications or be targeted to a smaller group of people.

I have not listed Supplemental Methods or Group Methods here, because I will supply them as requested by members of the Clarity Community. You can request such methods from the 300 contained in the Grok System.

The Management of the Clarity Community also uses both the Core Methods and the Supplementary Methods to make decisions about the shape, direction, motivation, and evolution of the community, the curriculum and its delivery, and the relationship between the organization and the community it supports.

Already, I vetted many of the ideas that are already implemented in the Clarity Community. For instance, on the volunteer page, Greater Rewards from Greater Involvement, requests #1 and #2 were in part the outcome of conversations that I had with my Clarity Buddies using the Core Methods of Talking Stick, Talking Mirror and the Chrysalis Wisdom Council.
